A native Greenevillian and 1978 graduate of Greeneville High School, Dr. Shepherd earned his B.S. from Tennessee Technological University before completing his DDS at the University of Tennessee Memphis in 1986. He practiced two years in Knoxville, opened his own Greeneville practice in 1989, and moved into the current facility in 1998. He has pursued advanced training at the prestigious Pankey Institute and the Pride Institute, and is known for a warm, comfortable chair-side manner that keeps patients laughing. He and his wife Natalie married in 1989 and have two children, Ali and Eli. “We’re all in this together,” he often says — treating patients and staff like extended family.

Dr. Renner is a native Greenevillian and a 1998 graduate of Greeneville High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at East Tennessee State University and earned his DDS from the University of Tennessee Memphis in 2005. After a year of practice in Johnson City, he joined Tusculum Dental Care in 2006. He and his wife Courtney have three children — Jackson, Bryant, and Allie.

A native of Johnson City and graduate of Science Hill High School, Dr. Penland earned her B.S. through the University of Tennessee Chancellor’s Honors Program before completing her DDS at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She values continuing education and stays at the forefront of advances in dentistry. Outside the office, she serves as a board member and President Elect of the Tri-Cities Chapter of the UT Alumni Association and as a Tennessee Promise Mentor. She and her husband enjoy cheering on the Vols, gardening, traveling, and time with friends and family.
